So, you think you’re good at Fortnite? You may brag to your friends about how many wins you have and how you are great with the tactical shotgun. Well, now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is and set the record straight because Epic Games has today announced its next upcoming tourney, appropriately named the Winter Royale Online Tournament, is open to all players and where $1,000,000 will be up for grabs.

Fortnite will hold a test event later this month that will emulate the World Cup Qualification process for next year, which helps to gather information in preparation. The Solo test events will consist of two parts, the Winter Royale Qualifiers and the Winter Royale Finals, with the Winter Royale Qualifiers firstly opening up to players on November 24.

In the Winter Royale Qualifier phase, players will have a few goes at achieving a high score and then during any event session, the highest score you obtain will be the one that matters so the pressure is on!

If you live outside North America or Europe, unfortunately you cant apply, but this is something that Fortnite is looking into for future events. If you come out with the highest score for your region in either North America or Europe, you will then be asked to take part in the Winter Royale Finals for your region.

You can follow Fortnite’s in-game events tab for more information, but for those interested in competing, Fortnite’s Winter Royale competition dates will be the following:

  • Winter Royale Qualifier (Open): 11/24/2018 – 11/25/2018

  • Europe Winter Royale Finals: 11/30/2018 – 12/1/2018

  • North America Winter Royale Finals: 12/11/2018 – 12/12/2018
