The Spyro series has long been seen as one of the most iconic PlayStation 1-era franchises thanks to its adorable purple dragon star, and with new footage from the upcoming Spyro Reignited Trilogy having been released, you can experience more from the collection right now.

New gameplay footage for the upcoming Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been released from PlayStation Underground, as several members from the development team at Toys for Bob highlighted a few sections from the series’ second game that is included in the collection, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!.

The Reignited Trilogy was first announced earlier this year, and collects the first three Spyro the Dragon titles with fresh reimagined visuals: Spyro the DragonSpyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Coming off the heels of the very successful Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy last year, it’s no surprise that Spyro is making a comeback for gamers that are nostalgic of a certain era in gaming.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will release for PS4 and Xbox One on September 21st, 2018. For a closer look at the game before its release this fall, you can check out the new gameplay footage below. If you have yet to pick up the game yet, you can head over to Amazon and grab the game before its release this fall.
