Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation Gets 4K Support and Celebrates Hitomi’s Birthday

Today DMM and Koei Tecmo released update 01.25.00 for their free-to-play game  Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation.

The most relevant addition coming with the update is native support for 4K resolution. Another addition are the VIP Coins and the Skill Awakening Stones. By trading in SSR swimsuits you don’t use you can receive VIP Coins, that can be used to purchase generic Skill Awakening Stones that can be used to add a skill level to any swimsuit. The good news is that we also get one for free today.

Another pretty great element is that starting today there will be a seven-day login bonus granting one SSR Voucher per day and two on the seventh. Trading them all in together will result in an SSR ticket that can be used to draw an SSR swimsuit automatically.

A new event has also been opened, rewarding players with plenty of goodies, including the lotions that can be used to harden or soften… well… You know what. The event comes with a dedicated gacha including two SSR towels for Kokoro and Honoka.

Interestingly, this gacha has triple chance to provide an SSR result, even if this just means that we have a 3.30% chance of getting one, and 1.1% chance of receiving one of the two towels.

Last, but not least, tomorrow (May 25th) is Hitomi’s birthday, and the game is celebrating with a special dedicated gacha. As all birthday gachas, it’s paid only, and considering that the SSR chance is only 1.1%, I’d definitely skip it.

Below you can check out two trailers, one for the update and event, and the other for Hitomi’s birthday. Neither is very safe for work. You’ve been warned.

If you want to play the game on your own PC (it’s only in Japanese but it’s fairly easy to understand) you can learn how to in our handy guide.
